Sandhya Hasswani is an Indian-German writer who was born in 1987 on the Upper Rhine, grew up in the southern Black Forest, graduated from high school in Bad Säckingen and, after a one-year charitable stay in India, studied journalism in Darmstadt and Freiburg, and trained in creative writing. She has worked for the daily press on the Upper Rhine since 2014. In 2020, her first book “Sagenhafter Hotzenwald” was published by Reinhardt Verlag, Basel, followed by other works. She has won numerous awards for her literary works in the Alemannic dialect.
