Adelheid Lang has overseen the Bad Säckingen Cathedral Archive for two decades. She is a regular contributor to the magazine “Vom Jura zum Schwarzwald” published by the Fricktalisch-Badischer Verein für Heimatkunde. She has published articles about the organ in the cathedral, about a composer from the Renaissance period from Säckingen, and about premieres of classical works composed in Bad Säckingen. Adelheid Lang was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1940. She grew up in Rietberg in Westphalia, graduated from high school, and then studied German and classical philology in Munich. Her late husband Johann was a physicist and her two sons are also PhD physicists. One son is a hobby train driver for the Oberalpbahn in Valais and so she has often been able to enjoy this train journey.
