Indulge in Swiss Chocolate at Lindt

The Cornell Club of Switzerland is indulging in our sweet tooth with a visit and exclusive tour of the Lindt House of Chocolate! Join us as we visit the chocolate museum with a guided 90-minute tour. No worries, there will be plenty of time to browse the famous Lindt chocolate shop, which boasts to be the largest in Europe (500 m2)!
After the fun, we will relax and enjoy an apperitive at Restaurant Chez Fritz on the Lake Zurich waterfront soaking in the rays and the beautiful views.

Weekend with the Cornell Club of Germany

The Cornell Club of Germany has graciously invited us to their Cornell Weekend 2024 in Freiburg, Germany from Friday, May 10th to Sunday, May 12th.
Next to their annual meeting, the program includes a guided city tour, a cable car ride to the Schauinsland peak with views over Freiburg and the Black Forest, plus a guided tour through the Silberbergwerk. The program, hotel, and registration details are included in the invitation here. A big Thank You to Volkmar Hellmich, President of the Cornell Club of Germany for sharing this special weekend!

Story of the Last Abbess: Tour of St. Fridolin’s CathedralSaturday, June 8 - Bad Säckengen (Germany)
We will meet Sandhya Hasswani, who has written a fascinating historical novel centered around the life and times of Mari-Anna Franziska von Hornstein, the last abbess of the abbey at Bad Säckingen. The event will include a guided tour of the cathedral, led by Adelheid Lang, who has been St. Fridolin Cathedral’s archivist for more than 20 years. Be sure to save the date! More details will be released in May 2024.

Fourteen of us from the Cornell Club of Switzerland met on March 9th to tour the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute and learn about the One Health program led by alumna Lisa Crump. Afterwards, we took an architectural walking tour of the Swiss Innovation Park led by alumna Jean Carol. Find our more about our fantastic day!
