Tour the Lindt House of Chocolate

There is still time to tour the Lindt House of Chocolate with The Cornell Club of Switzerland on Saturday, 4 May.
We have arranged a guided 90-minute tour with plenty of chocolate to taste! After browsing the famous Lindt chocolate shop, we will enjoy an apperitive at Restaurant Chez Fritz on the Lake Zurich waterfront.
With the weather warming up (we hope!), it is the perfect time to reconnect with fellow Cornellians whether it is your first visit to Lindt or tenth! ;-)
The deadline to register is Tuesday, 30 April.

Weekend with the Cornell Club of Germany

The Cornell Club of Germany has graciously invited us to their Cornell Weekend 2024 in Freiburg, Germany from Friday, 10 May to Sunday, 12 May.
Next to their annual meeting, the program includes a guided city tour, a cable car ride to the Schauinsland peak with views over Freiburg and the Black Forest, plus a guided tour through the Silberbergwerk. The program, hotel, and registration details are included in the invitation here. A big Thank You to Volkmar Hellmich, President of the Cornell Club of Germany for sharing this special weekend!

Story of the Last Abbess: Tour of St. Fridolin’s CathedralSaturday, June 8 - Bad Säckengen (Germany)
We will meet Sandhya Hasswani, who has written a fascinating historical novel centered around the life and times of Mari-Anna Franziska von Hornstein, the last abbess of the abbey at Bad Säckingen. The event will include a guided tour of the cathedral, led by Adelheid Lang, who has been St. Fridolin Cathedral’s archivist for more than 20 years. Be sure to save the date! More details will be released in May 2024.
