We are delighted to invite you to a special New Year cultural gathering: the Cornell Club of Switzerland’s New Year Art Tour in Zurich, featuring a 90-minute private, curator-led exploration of the renowned Kunsthaus Zurich.
About the tour
Our group will be guided on an art “safari” through the Moserbau (Swiss artists) and the Chipperfield building, discovering highlights from the museum’s celebrated collections. The tour will be led by Emma Miao He (MS 16’) — curator, gallerist, Cornell alumna, and member of our Club — who will offer expert insights and fresh perspectives on Swiss artists as well as two of the museum’s most significant private collections:
• The Gabriele and Werner Merzbacher Collection: vibrant ensembles of Fauvist and Expressionist masterpieces
• The Hubert Looser Collection: a focused selection of American Abstract art.
Following the tour, we will gather for a friendly drink at the Kunsthaus Bar, a perfect opportunity to connect with fellow Cornellians.
To continue the evening in style, we will then enjoy a fondue dinner at the restaurant Zum Königstuhl, situated in the midst of the historic center of Zurich. A selection of cheese fondues will be offered, accompanied by bread and potatoes.

Bags, backpacks, umbrellas and coats should be deposited in one of the lockers. Small handbags (maximum size A4 / l 30 x h 21 x w 20 cm) are allowed.
Cancellations for the event received after 20 January 2026 and no-shows will be subject to full charges.
Note: The tour is limited to 30 people. Registration (until 20 January 2026) is required and will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
