The Cornell Club of Switzerland kicked off the new year in wonderful style with a private guided art tour at the Kunsthaus Zurich, followed by a traditional Swiss fondue dinner in the heart of the city.

On Saturday, 24 January 2026, a full group of 30 participants enjoyed a 90-minute “art safari” led by Emma Miao He (MS ’16), discovering highlights from the collections in both the historic Moserbau and the contemporary Chipperfield wings of the Kunsthaus Zurich.
The group represented a true cross-section of the Cornell community: alumni from different colleges and graduation years, spanning multiple generations, as well as several members who joined a Cornell Club of Switzerland event for the very first time. The atmosphere throughout the tour was curious, engaged, and convivial.

Following the museum visit, participants enjoyed an informal aperitif at the Kunsthaus Bar, providing a casual setting for conversation and new connections. The evening continued with a short walk through old town to the historic restaurant Zum Königstuhl, where 26 adults and one child gathered for a Swiss fondue dinner. A selection of cheese fondues was shared in a warm and lively setting, the perfect conclusion to a cultural afternoon.

Feedback from participants was very positive, the welcoming group dynamic, and the seamless combination of art, conversation, and Swiss tradition.
We are delighted that this event brought together both long-standing members and newcomers, reinforcing the Club’s role as a vibrant platform for connection, discovery, and shared experiences.
A heartfelt thank you to Emma Miao He for leading such an engaging tour, and to all who joined us to make this evening a memorable start to the year. We look forward to welcoming you again at one of our upcoming events.
