Saturday Afternoon Cultural Excursion – 21 November 2026
13:20 – Exclusive Visit to the Kunstmuseum Basel (approx. 1 hour 45 minutes).
Meeting point: Foyer, 1st floor, Main Building (Hauptbau)
Enjoy an exclusive visit to the Kunstmuseum Basel, Switzerland’s oldest public art museum and home to one of the world’s finest collections of European art. Upon arrival, participants will be welcomed by Dr. Elena Filipovic, Director of the Kunstmuseum Basel and a Cornell University alumna.
Participants will then be divided into two groups. Each group will enjoy two guided tours: one of the museum’s Collection Highlights, personally led by Dr. Elena Filipovic, and one of the special exhibitions Van Gogh, Hodler, and a Cabriolet, led by one of the museum’s expert guides. The groups will then switch, ensuring that everyone experiences both tours.

• Dues-paying member: CHF 25.00
• Non-dues-paying member or guest: CHF 40.00
Price includes museum admission and both guided tours.

17:00 – 40th Annual General Meeting (Salle des Rois)
- This year’s AGM will be held in the new Salle des Rois, an elegant, light-filled venue designed by the renowned Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron. Located in the hotel’s new wing, it offers an 180-degree view over the city.
18:00 – 40th Anniversary Reception (Library)
- Celebrate our 40th Anniversary during a champagne reception in the hotel’s historic Library, a beautifully restored former chapel overlooking Basel’s Old Town. Surrounded by carefully curated books and antiques, it provides an elegant and intimate setting before dinner.
19:00 – 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner (Salle des Rois)
- Three-course gourmet dinner featuring roast turkey with traditional Thanksgiving side dishes.
- Mineral water, coffee and tea are included.
- Wine, soft drinks, and other beverages may be ordered separately and will be charged according to consumption.
- Please indicate any dietary restrictions or food allergies when registering.

Hotel Accommodation
Participants wishing to stay at the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois may reserve rooms directly with the hotel.
