Friendly Reminder to Support our Club

Cornell_spring_tulips

Dear Cornell Alumni, Family, and Friends,
Thanks to the generosity of our dues-paying members, the Cornell Club of Switzerland continues to flourish! We deeply appreciate the contributions of those who have already supported the Club by paying their annual dues. Your commitment makes all the difference.

However, we can't do it without you! With your contribution of just CHF 40, we can sustain and grow the Club’s activities. This includes organizing and sponsoring events, maintaining our website and newsletter, and ensuring the long-term vibrancy of our community.

Why Your Support Matters More Than Ever

Our newsletter reaches over 300 alumni, family, and friends, yet less than 25% currently support the Club financially. This creates a challenge, and as a result, we’ve shifted to an annual membership cycle (July 2024 to June 2025) for all new and renewed memberships. Your CHF 40 contribution has remained unchanged for the past decade, ensuring accessible membership for everyone. Without an increase in membership support this year, we’ll be reviewing all options at our Thanksgiving AGM.

Act Now—Join Us in Sustaining the Club

If you haven’t yet done so, we kindly ask you to take a moment to pay your membership dues for the upcoming fiscal year (July 2024 to June 2025). Your participation is essential to the continued success of the Club and its activities.

Every Franc Counts—And It All Goes Back to You
Please note, every CHF collected is reinvested directly into Club activities and maintaining our website. None of our volunteer Board Members receive compensation; they generously dedicate their time to ensure the Club thrives.

Thank you for your unwavering loyalty and support. Together, we can ensure the Cornell Club of Switzerland remains a vibrant community for years to come.

Remembering Hot Truck

pizza_french_bread

Are you craving the PMP, the WGC, or maybe the Full Sui? Generations of Cornell alumni can still remember these code words and can share colorful stories of late nights on Stewart Avenue.

Hot Truck, owned by Bob Petrillose, was an beloved institution that spanned decades. Take a walk down memory lane and find a recipe by famed food writer J. Kenji Lòpez-Alt of Serious Eats for a copycat recipe for the Poor Man's Pizza, a.k.a PMP.
