Thank You to Our First 27 Members!

A heartfelt thank you to all the alumni and friends who have already joined or renewed their membership for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. Your early support helps ensure that the Cornell Club of Switzerland can continue to offer engaging events, informative newsletters, and opportunities for our community to connect throughout the year.

If you have not yet renewed, there is still plenty of time. Membership for our fiscal year, 1 July 2026 through 30 June 2027, has started. We would be delighted to have you with us for another exciting year.

As always, every membership contribution directly supports our Club's programs and operating expenses. Our Board members serve entirely as volunteers without remuneration, making your support especially meaningful.

Whether you attend one event or many, your membership helps keep our Cornell community in Switzerland connected, welcoming, and thriving. Thank you for being part of it.

Together, we continue to strengthen the Cornell community across Switzerland.

12th Annual Mountain Weekend

From scenic hikes and elegant dinners to relaxing moments at the Kronenhof Spa, our 12th Annual Mountain Weekend was another unforgettable gathering in the Engadine. This year's event was made even more special by its multigenerational spirit, bringing together alumni from nearly five decades of Cornell history with children, teenagers, and families who are helping shape the future of our Cornell community. It was a wonderful celebration of friendship, family, and the enduring Cornell spirit.

Our Annual Cornell Hike is already generating excitement, with 10 Cornellians registered and ready to explore the beautiful Seeland region together! If you have been thinking about joining us, there is still plenty of room to be part of this wonderful tradition.

This year's scenic route will take us through Lyss, Aarberg, the spectacular Hagneck Canal, and the shores of Lake Biel, offering beautiful landscapes, fascinating history, and great company along the way.

A special thank you to Juerg (MBA '94) for once again organizing and leading this beloved annual event.

Join us on Sunday, 6 September for a memorable day of friendship, fresh air, and the beauty of Switzerland. We look forward to hiking with you!

Summer is grilling season, and what better way to celebrate than with one of Cornell's most delicious traditions? Created by Cornell food scientist Robert Baker '43, Cornell Chicken has been a favorite at backyard barbecues, local fundraisers, and community gatherings for generations.

The Cornellians digital magazine shares the fascinating story behind this iconic recipe, along with step-by-step instructions for the original version, plus vegetarian and vegan alternatives so everyone can enjoy this Big Red tradition.

Whether you are hosting family, friends, or fellow Cornellians this summer, why not bring a taste of Cornell to your table?

If you give Cornell Chicken (or the vegetarian version!) a try, we would love to hear about it. Share your photos with us! We may feature a few of our favorite culinary creations in a future newsletter or on our social media channels!
