Discover 2,000 Years of History Beneath St- Pierre Cathedral
This spring, The Cornell Club of Swizerland invites you to discover one of Geneva’s most fascinating hidden treasures beneath St. Pierre Cathedral.
On Saturday, 25 April 2026, we will enjoy a guided tour in English of the extraordinary archaeological site that reveals more than 2,000 years of history, from Roman occupation and early Christian worship to the foundations of the medieval cathedral. It is a rare opportunity to explore the layers of Geneva’s past in an immersive underground setting.
After the tour, participants may continue exploring the cathedral and Old Town before joining us for an optional dinner at the historic Restaurant de l’Hôtel de Ville. Spaces are limited, so be sure to read the full article and register early!
